First Reconciliation preparation is offered separately from regular faith formation classes. It is a parent driven program with assistance from parish staff and volunteers. The parents of a baptized child who is at least 7 years of age and in 2nd grade will be contacted by parish staff during the month of October each year to invite them to a parent meeting. An additional eligibility guideline is that the child has completed a year of CCE and be enrolled in their second year. Parents receive books and guides and a schedule of supplemental lessons to prepare for the sacrament.
The First Reconciliation service is generally the second Saturday in January.
